Celebrating the 10-year milestone of its iconic G502 gaming mouse, Logitech is launching a limited edition with an upgraded aluminum body.
This special version, called the G502 X Plus AL Edition, closely mirrors the features of the G502 X Plus wireless mouse but adds an elegant twist with its aluminum construction. Each mouse will be laser-etched with a serial number, from 1 to 502, emphasizing its exclusivity, as only 502 units will be produced.
The G502 X Plus AL Edition retains all the premium features you’d expect, including a 25K DPI sensor, dynamic RGB lighting, and compatibility with Logitech’s PowerPlay wireless charging system.
However, you won’t find this collector’s piece available for direct purchase. Logitech has stated that these mice can only be awarded, earned, or gifted through Logitech G or its partners to community members worldwide. Ten units have already been given away via X/Twitter, and more giveaway events are expected to be announced soon.
While this limited release is an exciting gesture for fans, it doesn’t entirely erase the lingering disappointment from Logitech’s recent “forever mouse” debacle. Nonetheless, the company’s willingness to listen to its community and offer DPI upgrades for older mice is a positive sign moving forward.
