Microsoft is rolling out a revamped Microsoft Store for Windows 11, currently being tested by Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels. This update brings significant changes to how you manage and update your apps, improving overall user experience.
The redesigned Store introduces a new Downloads tab on the left sidebar, positioned above the familiar Library tab. In this section, you’ll find a list of all your installed apps, both free and paid. A handy “Get Updates” button at the top allows you to update all your apps at once, or you can opt to update them individually via the three-dot menu next to each app. This menu also provides options to share, review, pin to the taskbar, and access release notes.
The Library tab, on the other hand, now serves as a hub for viewing all your apps, including those you’ve purchased but haven’t installed. It allows you to sort and filter your apps by date, name, or type, giving you a clear and organized view of your entire app library.
These changes to the Microsoft Store make it easier to manage your apps, ensuring that your software stays up-to-date and well-organized.
