Asus made waves at IFA in Berlin with the debut of their new Vivobook and Zenbook laptops, powered by the latest Lunar Lake architecture CPUs. These processors are designed to enhance AI performance, offering up to 47 NPU TOPS. One standout feature of the new Zenbook is its Ceraluminum lid—a combination of ceramic and aluminum that enhances both the look and the durability of the device.
The Asus Zenbook S 14 immediately impressed with its Scandinavian White finish and sleek design. It comes equipped with either the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V or 258V processors, both of which benefit from Lunar Lake’s advanced capabilities. The laptop’s 14-inch OLED display offers a resolution of 2880×1800, a 120Hz refresh rate, and superb color reproduction with 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage and 500 nits HDR peak brightness. The Zenbook S 14 is notably slim at 0.48 inches and light at 2.7 pounds, thanks to its innovative Ceraluminum material. Additional features include a four-speaker audio system, AI noise cancellation for better video conferencing, and a geometric cooling grille. Starting at $1,399.99, it will be available in September.
The Asus Vivobook S 14, while more affordable, doesn’t compromise on quality. Priced from $999.99, this model is slim and lightweight at 0.54 inches thick and 2.86 pounds. It features the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, paired with Intel Arc Graphics, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. The 14-inch OLED display has a resolution of 1920×1200 and a 60Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for general use. Although it doesn’t match the higher-end specs of the Zenbook S 14, it remains a practical and cost-effective option. The Vivobook S 14 will be available this September, with a higher-spec version arriving in October.
