After Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard for an astounding $75.4 billion about a year ago, the gaming community has been eager to see how the tech company would manage its extensive portfolio of intellectual properties, which includes iconic franchises like Call of Duty, Diablo, Overwatch, and Spyro.
A noteworthy announcement has surfaced: Polygon reports that StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection will be accessible on Game Pass starting November 5, marking another addition following the inclusion of Diablo 4 back in March.
On November 5, Game Pass subscribers will be able to dive into every campaign in the StarCraft series that has been released since 1998. This is fantastic news for RTS fans who lean towards single-player experiences, especially since both StarCraft and StarCraft 2 offer free access solely for their multiplayer modes.
The campaigns available will encompass the original StarCraft campaign, its Brood War expansion, as well as the campaigns from Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, and Legacy of the Void, including the Nova Covert Ops mission pack.
To enjoy this content, you will need a subscription to either PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate, which is no surprise since StarCraft and StarCraft 2 are designed exclusively for PC without any console ports.
With Diablo and StarCraft leading the charge, it’s likely that even more Activision Blizzard franchises will join Game Pass in the coming months.
