Nvidia’s all-encompassing app, which debuted a few months ago to combine driver updates with a host of gamer-centric tools, has just been updated with new features and a bonus—an entire month of Xbox Game Pass for free.
In a recent blog post, Nvidia outlines the updates in the latest app version, including expanded monitor controls that allow users to manually set resolution and refresh rate. The app’s new System panel also introduces RTX Video tools, which bring HDR capabilities to standard videos in browsers and VLC, provided you have a compatible monitor.
Feedback from early users has led to several user-friendly changes, such as games now being alphabetically sorted in the Graphics tab and the addition of more language options. Plus, the FPS overlay now includes 1% low rates, an essential stat for performance benchmarking, alongside other vital metrics like CPU usage.
One of the more intriguing new features is ChatRTX, an integrated AI chatbot powered by your GPU. This tool can create a conversational AI using a local model, eliminating the need for external server connections. If you’re curious, you can read my first impressions of ChatRTX here.
The best part of this update, however, is the free month of Xbox Game Pass. I’ve been eyeing Flintlock, the new Napoleonic-historical-fantasy-soulslike, and now I can try it out without spending a penny. To claim the offer, download the app and log in with your Nvidia account. Just be aware that the GeForce Rewards page might be a bit slow due to high demand.
