Ensuring the originality of your Microsoft Word documents is easy! First, load your document into Word and navigate to the Review tab in the ribbon. On the far left, you’ll find the Editor button—click it to open a sidebar with editorial insights.
Look for the Similarity section and click the Check for similarity to online sources button to begin the plagiarism check. Word will use Bing to search the web for similar texts, which might take a few moments.
After the check, highlighted sections in your document will indicate matching text from online sources. An info window will display links to the original content.
This tool is also helpful for citing sources. If the Editor identifies similarities, you can review them by clicking Similarities reviewed and insert citations for each source as needed.
