In a strategic play that caught the tech world by surprise, Incase, primarily recognized for its specialization in laptop accessories, has announced a revival of Microsoft’s PC accessory business in 2024. Last year, Microsoft made waves by revealing its departure from the PC accessory market, signaling the end of an era for its renowned keyboards, mice, headsets, and speakers. However, Incase is rewriting this narrative by breathing new life into these peripherals under the banner “Incase Designed by Microsoft.”

The official announcement on Incase’s website highlights that the rejuvenated products will maintain the legacy of Microsoft’s designs, with the only visible change being the inclusion of Incase’s distinctive leaf-shaped logo. The collaboration encompasses a diverse range of devices, including the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop and the Modern USB-C Speaker. Although specific details about pricing and release dates are yet to be unveiled, this unexpected partnership allows Incase to diversify its product portfolio without the need for extensive new product development. For consumers, this move ensures the continued availability of beloved Microsoft accessories, offering a win-win scenario for both Incase and Microsoft enthusiasts alike.
