Epomaker’s Premium $549 Wooden Split Keyboard Is a Work of Art
If you’re a fan of mechanical keyboards, then the Epomaker x Feker Alice 60 Wood is an absolute standout. This isn’t your average keyboard — it’s a full split ergonomic model made entirely of real wood, and it’s all wireless. Of course, that level of craftsmanship comes with a hefty price tag: $549 for the complete set, which includes a wireless numpad and wrist rests.
Despite the price, this keyboard justifies its cost in the world of luxury mechanical designs. The body and keycaps are constructed from 100 percent authentic wood, with the key legends crafted using inlaid wood or contrasting stains to give the keyboard a distinguished look. The keyboard is also packed with impressive features, including triple-mode wireless support (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, and multi-device), gasket mounting for a soft, cushioned typing feel, and hot-swappable switches for ultimate customization.
While the price tag might make you pause, it’s in line with other premium custom mechanical setups. For context, high-end custom wood keycap sets can easily cost hundreds of dollars, and a keyboard with this level of design and wireless functionality could easily justify the expense. For comparison, Razer’s flagship $350 gaming keyboard doesn’t feature any wood or customization options.
However, it’s important to note that split keyboard enthusiasts have specific preferences, and this model may not be perfect for everyone. For instance, some users (like my coworker, Alaina Yee) may find the lack of tenting tools (which adjust the vertical angle of the keyboard) disappointing. If you’re comfortable without those adjustments, though, the Epomaker x Feker Alice 60 Wood is available for pre-order now and ships by late December.
