Microsoft has introduced new features in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, designed to empower businesses with enhanced capabilities in natural language processing and artificial intelligence-generated insights.
Among the updates are the inclusion of new Microsoft Copilot capabilities in Dynamics 365 and role-based extensions within Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft Copilot for Sales, Copilot for Service, and Copilot for Finance. These advancements were unveiled at the Microsoft Business Applications Launch Event and are scheduled for release between April and September 2024.
Charles Lamanna, Corporate Vice President of Business Applications and Platforms at Microsoft, elaborated on the significance of Microsoft Copilot Studio during the event. This foundational platform underpins the newly introduced capabilities, enabling seamless integration and functionality across various business domains.
For instance, Copilot capabilities for Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Copilot for Service offer generative AI-drafted knowledge articles and responses for customer interactions, streamlining communication processes and enhancing customer service experiences.
These innovative features are part of Microsoft’s ‘2024 release wave 1,’ aimed at empowering small and medium businesses to automate processes and expedite task completion. Lamanna emphasized in a recent blog post how these advancements are poised to boost productivity and creativity for Microsoft customers like Lenovo, G&J Pepsi, Omnicom Group, Ford, and Sonepar. Leveraging Copilot, these organizations have witnessed significant improvements in efficiency by automating time-consuming tasks and fostering a culture of innovation.
