Windows 11 Insider Build Adds Copilot Button to Paint
A new update to Windows 11 Insider Preview (Build 26120.3073) is bringing some useful improvements, with one of the standout features being the addition of a Copilot button in Microsoft Paint. This button offers a quicker way to access a suite of generative AI tools that have already been available in Paint but now come with more convenient access.
The Copilot button opens a drop-down menu, bringing several AI-powered options right to your fingertips: Cocreator for collaborative AI-assisted art, Image Creator for generating AI artwork based on your own text prompts or drawings, Generative Erase to remove unwanted elements from your images, and Remove Background to simplify background removal.
Although these AI features have been part of Paint for a while, the Copilot button is a productivity boost for those who use them frequently. The update also introduces improvements to Windows Search (only available on Copilot+ PCs), cloud photo search functionality, and a variety of bug fixes impacting the Taskbar, System Tray, and File Explorer.
As this update is still in preview for Windows Insiders, it’s unclear when it will be available to the general public on the stable release of Windows 11.
