Crestron Electronics has unveiled new intelligent features for its Automate VX, the Microsoft Teams Rooms Appliance, at Microsoft Ignite.
Automate VX is designed for large and extra-large meeting rooms and uses multiple optical zoom cameras to provide a clear view of all participants. The latest update introduces face and torso detection intelligence, enabling the cameras to track body movements and reframe participants accordingly.
For instance, if someone shifts their chair or moves within the frame, Automate VX will detect the changes and adjust to keep them in the centre of the shot. This innovation addresses the challenge of delivering equitable meeting experiences in large boardrooms and multipurpose spaces.
“While intelligent video solutions and equitable meeting experiences have been top of mind for many organisations the past few years, the market has struggled to find a way to solve for large meeting rooms and multipurpose spaces,” said Sam Kennedy, senior director of product marketing at Crestron. “Our customers need to replicate the seamless collaboration that has been mastered in the smaller rooms and scale that to their boardrooms and training rooms. Automate VX is a true standout among multi-camera solutions for simplifying these challenging spaces and bringing that consistent meeting experience to these highly valuable rooms.”
