LG Launches New Gram Laptops with Arrow Lake and AI Innovations Ahead of CES 2025
LG’s Gram laptop lineup for 2025 introduces Intel’s Arrow Lake processors alongside cutting-edge AI features. Showcased ahead of CES, the lineup includes the Gram Pro (17Z90TR, 16Z90TS), the Gram Pro 2-in-1, and the all-new Gram Book, an affordable lightweight option with a 1080p display. However, LG has yet to announce pricing or availability details.
The Gram Pro 17Z90TR stands out with Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics and Intel’s latest Arrow Lake mobile chip, designed for efficiency and performance. Other models rely on Lunar Lake processors, known for advanced AI capabilities, including the powerful TOPS specification. LG’s laptops this year exclusively feature Intel chips, leaving out AMD and Qualcomm alternatives.
New AI features take center stage with LG Gram AI. The On-Device version, built on LG’s proprietary EXAONE language model, provides privacy-focused tools like Time Travel, allowing users to revisit past content. The Cloud version, based on GPT-4o, offers detailed responses and integrates with calendars and email services, though a subscription is required after the first year.
Display options include 2560×1600 resolutions on Gram Pro models and an 1800p OLED display for the Pro 2-in-1. Storage reaches up to 2TB, with memory configurations of up to 32GB. Additionally, Gram Link—LG’s take on Intel’s Unison app—enables seamless sharing between Android devices and laptops.
The lightweight Gram Book, designed as an entry-level alternative, weighs 3.74 pounds and houses a 51Wh battery, which may feel bulky compared to premium Gram models. While LG’s latest lineup doesn’t diverge drastically from competitors, its blend of Arrow Lake processors, AI innovations, and high-resolution displays solidifies its place in the market.
