New Microsoft Copilot tools will enable retailers to take the first steps with generative artificial intelligence, says Microsoft.
“Retailers are looking for ways to begin working with generative AI that will allow them to learn quickly and scale effectively,” said Shelley Bransten, corporate vice president of global retail, consumer goods and gaming industries at Microsoft, in a recent blog post. “I’m excited to share new tools that help retailers more easily incorporate AI across the shopper journey.”
Retailers can use the Microsoft Cloud for Retail copilot template on
Azure OpenAI Service, currently in public preview, to build individualised shopping experiences across their existing websites and applications.
Another copilot template has been designed to help store associates to work more productively and improve their customer service.
“Our copilot template for store operations helps build a generative AI-powered large language model-based assistant that enables Q&A from store documentation such as store operating procedures and natural laungague-based task creation,” said Bransten. “Store associates can use natural language to quickly and easily access the information they need in the flow of work, increasing their productivity and efficiency.”
New copilot features, which will be available in the first quarter of 2024, will also help retailers to plan, develop and monitor marketing campaigns with the capabilities.
Retailers can also optimise their media captions with the Microsoft Retail Media platform, which is available for preview in January 2024, and collect and analyse their data with Microsoft Fabric.
