PC Holographic Fans Are Here—Because RGB Wasn’t Enough
If your gaming PC already looks like a neon spaceship, complete with RGB overload, LCD screens on everything, and a light show that could rival a Vegas club, what’s next? The answer, apparently, is holograms.
Well, sort of. Coolify has taken those spinning LED display gadgets—the ones that create flickery, semi-transparent images by rapidly spinning light bars—and integrated them into PC cooling fans.
Spotted by VideoCardz, these Coolify Holo Fans are 120mm in size, available in 1500 or 2600 RPM versions. Since the holographic effect relies on specific RPM levels, adjusting their speed will disrupt the visuals. Each fan features 96 LEDs, theoretically allowing for 96-pixel-diameter images, though Coolify claims they can handle animations up to 300 pixels wide—which isn’t exactly “ultra HD” despite the marketing.
The fans don’t connect to your PC for data transfer; instead, you upload images and animations via Wi-Fi through a mobile app. It’s an extra step, but at least it prevents extra bloatware from slowing down your system.
At $46 each, they’re on the pricier side for case fans, but if holographic illusions are the final touch your PC build needs, these might be worth it—just be sure they’re installed the right way around.
