Microsoft is expanding its collaboration with o9, an enterprise artificial intelligence software platform provider, through the integration of Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service applications with o9’s Digital Brain solution.
Digital Brain, powered by enterprise knowledge graph technology, aids users in transforming both structured and unstructured data into actionable knowledge. With the incorporation of large language models and the Azure OpenAI Service, users gain the capability to digitize and connect knowledge sourced from various Microsoft applications such as Outlook emails, Word documents, PowerPoint slides, and Teams chats.
Dominik Wee, Corporate Vice President of Manufacturing and Mobility at Microsoft, expressed enthusiasm about the enhanced collaboration with o9, stating, “By integrating Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service into the AI-powered o9 Digital Brain platform, we can help manufacturers unlock the potential of their data, facilitating quicker decision-making and optimized planning.”
Moreover, this collaboration aims to enhance the construction of digital assistant workflows by leveraging Azure OpenAI Service’s chat-completion capabilities with functions-calling and code-generation features. This advancement enables users to create more efficient automation within enterprise planning operations. For instance, the system can discern whether a user query necessitates a knowledge-based response or data retrieval, streamlining decision-making processes.
Chakri Gottemukkala, Co-founder and CEO of o9, emphasized the significance of generative AI technologies in improving supply chain operations and enhancing process efficiency. He commented, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft and its Azure OpenAI Service offering to unlock new possibilities in streamlining supply chain processes and facilitating seamless knowledge transfer for our joint customers.”
