OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research and distribution company, has launched the GPT Store, a web directory of custom versions of ChatGPT.
The GPT Store, which opened on January 10, offers a range of GPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) models developed by OpenAI partners and the community. Since OpenAI launched “GPTs” two months ago, users have created more than three million custom versions of ChatGPT, OpenAI said.
The GPT Store is open to ChatGPT Plus, Team and Enterprise users (follow the link under Explore GPTs). Users can browse trending GPTs in categories such as writing, research, programming, education, and lifestyle on the community leaderboard. OpenAI will highlight “useful and effective” GPTs, along with AllTrails, Books, and Khan Academy’s Code Tutor.
Users can also add their own GPT to the store. OpenAI said it will launch a GPT builder revenue program in the first quarter that will pay builders based on the user’s interaction with their GPT.
