Windows 10 Users Can Now Claim Free Windows 11 24H2 Upgrade – What You Need to Know
If you’ve been holding out on upgrading to Windows 11, now might be the perfect time. Microsoft is offering a free upgrade to Windows 11, version 24H2 (2024 Update) for eligible Windows 10 PCs. This offer is part of the broader rollout designed to bring more users onto Windows 11 ahead of the official end of support for Windows 10.
The update is only available for devices that meet Windows 11’s technical requirements, such as having a TPM 2.0 chip. To check if your system qualifies, go to Settings > Windows Update, where version 24H2 will be listed if your device is eligible. Be aware that this update is still being rolled out gradually, so it may not show up on your system immediately.
Windows 10 Home users will be upgraded to Windows 11 Home, while those with Windows 10 Pro will receive Windows 11 Pro. If you need to switch to a different version, you can do so separately.
One important thing to note: Windows 10 support officially ends on October 14, 2025. After that, you’ll no longer receive security updates, leaving your device exposed to malware and other security threats. Don’t delay—upgrading now ensures your PC remains secure.
Take advantage of the free upgrade before it’s too late!
