Windows 11 Start Menu Set for Major Redesign in Upcoming Update
Over the years, Microsoft has rolled out numerous changes to the Windows 11 Start menu, introducing features like the “categories” view and the “companions” option. Despite these updates, Microsoft is back at it, working on yet another significant redesign for the Start menu in the next Windows 11 update.
The new design is focused on providing a more accessible and expansive experience. The Start menu layout will now be both wider and longer, enabling users to scroll through everything in one go without the need to toggle between different sections.
Additionally, a much-requested feature will be implemented: the option to disable recommendations within the Start menu. This update aims to give users more control over what they see, eliminating unnecessary clutter.

As of now, the redesigned Start menu is only available to users in the Dev and Beta channels of Windows Insider, with a broader release expected in the future.
