In recent developments, various healthcare organizations in the United States have chosen Oracle Health’s CommunityWorks, an advanced electronic health record (EHR) system tailored to address the unique clinical, financial, and operational demands of smaller hospital operations in both acute and ambulatory settings. Among the notable institutions embracing this integrated solution are Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Golden Plains Community Hospital, Murray-Calloway County Hospital, Nashville General Hospital, and Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital and Culbertson Clinics.

Oracle Health demonstrates a keen understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare providers in community and critical access hospitals, including geographic isolation, workforce shortages, technology disparities, and limited resources. CommunityWorks, purpose-built for community, rural, and critical access hospitals, is designed to mitigate these challenges and enhance overall healthcare delivery.

Travis Dalton, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Oracle Health, expressed appreciation for rural healthcare providers, emphasizing Oracle Health’s commitment to ensuring everyone has access to high-quality care, regardless of their location. He highlighted the CommunityWorks solution, launched over a decade ago, as an initiative to bring innovative technology to some of the smallest hospitals nationwide.

The recent adopters of Oracle Health’s CommunityWorks include:

    1. Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH): A 25-bed community access hospital in Iowa, CCMH opted for CommunityWorks for its fully integrated EHR, streamlining internal operations.
    2. Golden Plains Community Hospital: This Texas-based facility, a 25-bed critical access hospital, chose Oracle Health’s fully integrated system after evaluating multiple EHR providers, enhancing care across the continuum.
    3. Murray-Calloway County Hospital: Located in Kentucky, this hospital sought a unified EHR solution, choosing CommunityWorks to consolidate patient data, support oncology specialties, and simplify infusion suite processes.
    4. Nashville General Hospital: A public safety-net hospital in Tennessee, Nashville General Hospital partnered with Oracle Health to implement CommunityWorks, replacing multiple systems with a unified EHR.

Additionally, Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital and Culbertson Clinics recently completed their CommunityWorks go-live, selecting a new EHR to provide an integrated framework for streamlined communication and secure patient health management.

Oracle Health’s achievements were acknowledged by KLAS Research in its 2023 U.S. Hospital EMR Market Share report, highlighting double-digit hospital growth and a dominant position in the sector of U.S. hospitals with 200 or fewer beds. This recognition underscores Oracle Health’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to smaller healthcare institutions, securing its position as a leader in the industry.
