In a strategic move ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, LG has chosen to reveal the highly anticipated 2024 models within its renowned gram laptop series. Departing from the norm, LG not only introduces refreshed models of the existing gram lineup but also presents a novel addition—the gram Pro. With the CES buzz building, LG’s early showcase aims to set the stage for a tech revelation, showcasing cutting-edge features and performance enhancements.
At the heart of this unveiling is the integration of AI functions accessible through the LG gram Link app, coupled with robust support from Intel’s neuron processor, Intel AI Boost, exclusively available in the Pro models. The gram Pro lineup debuts in two striking screen sizes—16 inches and 17 inches. The larger variant boasts a resolution of 2560×1600 paired with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the 16-inch version features a resolution of 2880×1800 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This lineup offers users a choice between Intel’s integrated Arc graphics card or the dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, accommodating diverse computing needs. Supporting up to 32GB of memory and providing storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB, the gram Pro is poised to deliver a powerful computing experience.
Adding versatility to the lineup is the LG Gram Pro 2-in-1, a laptop/tablet hybrid exclusive to the 16-inch model. Retaining identical specifications to its traditional counterpart, the 2-in-1 model limits its graphics card option to the integrated Intel Arc.
Connectivity takes center stage with both the LG Gram Pro and the 2-in-1 version, boasting a comprehensive set of ports, including two second-generation USB 3.2 ports, two third-generation USB 4 ports with Power Delivery, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 4, and an HDMI 2.1 port.
Expanding beyond the Pro series, LG introduces new additions to the regular Gram lineup, featuring 14-, 15-, 16-, and 17-inch options. The varying resolutions and screen sizes cater to diverse user preferences, ensuring that the gram series meets a wide spectrum of computing needs. Equipped with the integrated Intel Arc graphics card, these models offer memory options ranging from 8GB to 32GB and storage capacities spanning 256GB to 2TB.
While the launch date remains undisclosed, LG’s pre-CES revelation sets the stage for an exciting era in computing, promising a lineup of gram laptops that seamlessly blend innovation and performance.
