AOC launches 610Hz monitors, including a gold CS edition

Most gamers probably won’t notice much difference between refresh rates once they climb above 360Hz, but in the ultra-competitive world of PC esports, even the smallest gains matter. That’s the philosophy behind AOC’s new high-speed displays, which promise to deliver some of the fastest refresh rates ever seen on a consumer monitor. With refresh rates peaking at 610Hz, the new Agon Pro AG246FK6 and Agon CS24G2 are clearly aimed at elite players who refuse to settle for anything less than the absolute fastest performance.

The AG246FK6 might not seem like much at a glance. It’s a 24-inch 1920×1080 monitor, with a modest design and a TN panel that prioritizes speed over color accuracy and viewing angles. TN isn’t known for the most immersive visuals, but it excels in response time and motion clarity, and this monitor takes full advantage of that. It runs at a native 600Hz, with a slight overclock to 610Hz, and offers a 0.5ms response time. Combined with motion blur reduction and adaptive sync, it’s tailor-made for players who demand every millisecond of advantage they can get.

Despite its laser focus on speed, the monitor still includes a few quality-of-life features: HDMI 2.1 inputs, RGB lighting on the rear, and a built-in headphone hanger make it a surprisingly practical choice for compact gaming setups. It’s not flashy, but it’s built to perform under pressure, especially in competitive shooters where motion clarity can make the difference between a win or a loss.

AOC’s second model, the Agon CS24G2, takes the same panel and packages it in a more distinctive form. Designed in partnership with Counter-Strike 2, it drops the response time even further to 0.3ms, adds Nvidia G-Sync certification, and includes a number of visual upgrades. The stand is painted metallic gold and etched with the CS2 logo and a silhouette of an in-game character—unmistakable branding for fans of Valve’s legendary tactical shooter.

Most interesting is the inclusion of a dedicated “CS2 Mode”, which supposedly tweaks the monitor for optimal performance in Counter-Strike 2. This includes settings like enhanced clarity, reduced input lag, gamma correction, and motion smoothing tailored specifically for the game. While these changes would likely benefit many other games as well, tying them to CS2 helps underscore the monitor’s intended audience: the most serious FPS players.

Both monitors will be priced at £599 (roughly $790 USD) and are expected to launch in August and September respectively. Whether you’re after raw speed for any FPS or want a display that aligns with your CS2 loyalty, these AOC monitors are gunning for the top of the competitive gaming market—frame by frame.
