Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent extended time using the 2026 Moto G Power, the final entry in Motorola’s current 2026 lineup — at least for now. While CES 2026 brought the surprise debut of the Razr Fold, Motorola’s first foldable phone, the company’s budget lineup remains just as important. And in that lineup, the Moto G Power clearly feels like the strongest overall package.
Among Motorola’s 2026 devices, the Moto G Power delivers the best user experience. It’s the model I’d most confidently recommend, especially to buyers looking for a reliable, affordable smartphone that doesn’t feel compromised. In many ways, it seems Motorola saved the best for last, refining what works rather than chasing unnecessary features.
That said, my biggest criticism of Motorola’s 2026 range is how closely it mirrors the 2025 generation. Many of the phones feel nearly identical to their predecessors, which can make upgrades seem unnecessary at first glance. Design language, software behavior, and even performance profiles often blur together across generations.
However, despite sharing a lot of design DNA with the 2025 Moto G Power, the 2026 model introduces more meaningful upgrades where it matters most. Subtle improvements in performance, display quality, and overall polish help it stand apart, proving that this isn’t just a minor refresh. For budget-conscious users, the 2026 Moto G Power strikes a rare balance between familiar reliability and thoughtful refinement.
