Logitech has announced the launch of the MX Creative Console, a powerful new PC accessory designed specifically for enhancing productivity in photo, video, and audio editing. This innovative device is reminiscent of the Elgato Stream Deck but diverges in purpose, focusing instead on providing creators with greater control and efficiency in their editing tasks, as highlighted by The Verge.
The MX Creative Console consists of two primary components. The first is a keypad equipped with nine dynamic LCD buttons that allow users to initiate different applications and execute various actions within them. To facilitate navigation, there are two additional paging buttons that enable scrolling through 15 pages, granting access to a total of 135 different actions tailored for each app.
Complementing the keypad is a customizable dial designed for a range of scrolling actions. This feature is particularly useful in applications like Photoshop for adjusting brush sizes, in Premiere Pro for scrubbing through timelines, and in Lightroom for zooming in and out. Surrounding the dial are four additional buttons, offering quick access to frequently utilized functions, such as undoing previous actions.
To enhance the user experience, Logitech has created custom plugins for popular Adobe applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition. The accompanying Logitech app allows for personalized button and page customization on a per-app basis, ensuring that users can tailor their workflow to suit their needs.
The MX Creative Console is now available for pre-order in Pale Grey and Graphite colors. Priced at $199.99, the console also comes with a three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps, making it a valuable addition for anyone serious about their creative endeavors.
