Baseus Launches S2 Solar Security Camera With 4K and Dual Motion Sensors
Baseus has announced the S2 solar-powered security camera, priced at $149 and packed with upgrades over its predecessor, the S1 Pro. The S2 features Ultra 4K resolution for enhanced video clarity, advanced dual sensor detection, and a solar tracking system that ensures efficient energy generation.
Unlike the S1 Pro, which relied on dynamic tilting and rotating solar panels, the S2 introduces a 40-degree rotational tracking system, boosting energy efficiency by 30% and delivering double the energy output of static panels. This refinement drastically reduces the frequency of recharging.
Motion detection is more precise with the addition of radar technology, which pairs with PIR sensors to reduce false alarms caused by animals or weather conditions. The S2 also supports up to 256GB of local storage via TF cards, an upgrade from the S1 Pro’s SSD expansion, eliminating subscription costs for cloud storage.
The S2 retains IP67 weatherproofing, advanced night vision, and a wire-free, quick installation design, ensuring reliable operation in all environments. Scheduled for release in June, the Baseus S2 provides a feature-rich and efficient solution for modern home security needs.
