Intel’s Core Ultra 200 Performance Boost After Latest Updates
Intel has officially resolved the performance debacle surrounding its Core Ultra 200 series, concluding months of work to correct the issues that caused the Arrow Lake-S desktop processors to fall short of expected performance levels. After releasing an initial round of fixes in December, the company wrapped up its efforts with a comprehensive solution unveiled at CES, focusing on Windows 11 updates and firmware adjustments.
The performance improvements are said to be notable, especially for users who install Windows 11 build 26100.2314 or higher and ensure that their systems have the latest BIOS updates. Intel promised significant improvements, particularly in gaming performance, with Cyberpunk 2077 seeing a potential boost of 26% and Far Cry 6 showing gains of 16%. These results emphasize just how much users can benefit from the latest updates, which also show higher improvements in synthetic benchmarks.
At CES, Intel also announced new desktop Arrow Lake processors and two additional chipsets, aimed at enhancing future gaming and productivity setups. Intel’s Core H and Core HX chips for gaming laptops were confirmed to be unaffected by these performance issues, so users of those products can rest assured. These fixes are a much-needed step forward, allowing Intel to regain its footing in the competitive processor market.
