At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Lenovo introduced a fresh spin on its flagship professional laptop, unveiling the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition in Glacier White. The new color marks a bold departure from the ThinkPad’s signature black, adding a sleeker, modern identity to a machine that has long been associated with understated business style. First previewed at CES earlier this year, the Glacier White finish is now official, bringing a stylish new look to one of Lenovo’s most advanced workstation-class laptops.
The ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition continues to prioritize performance, available in both 14-inch and 15-inch versions with OLED displays at 1200p resolution, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of fast SSD storage as standard. Powering the system are Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, paired with over 40 TOPS of onboard AI performance to handle modern workflows and generative AI tasks. Professionals who depend on the X9 lineup’s reliability will find all the core strengths intact — durability, precision input, and enterprise-level features — now wrapped in a design that feels more aligned with premium consumer hardware trends.
Lenovo is also focusing on software and ecosystem integration. Later this year, the new Smart Share feature will be added to Lenovo Smart Connect, allowing users to transfer files such as photos and videos across devices with a single tap. This addresses one of the most common productivity annoyances, streamlining how users move content between laptops, tablets, and phones.
In addition to performance and usability, Lenovo continues to emphasize protection. The X9 Aura Edition includes ThinkShield, its comprehensive security suite, offering safeguards for both local storage and cloud data. For professionals balancing mobility, power, and privacy, the Aura Edition seeks to deliver all three in a stylish form factor. Launching in October 2025, pricing starts at $1,889 for the 14-inch model and $2,109 for the 15-inch model, positioning the device at the high end of the premium workstation market.
