Cloud Software Group is embarking on a transformative journey, committing $1.65 billion to fortify its customer offerings through Microsoft’s cloud and generative artificial intelligence capabilities. This strategic investment, spanning eight years, aims to elevate the go-to-market strategy of Citrix’s virtual application and desktop platform by leveraging Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud solution.

In this collaborative venture, Citrix emerges as the preferred Microsoft Global Azure Partner solution for Enterprise Desktop as a Service, aligning seamlessly with the evolving needs of organisations embracing flexible work models. Sridhar Mullapudi, General Manager at Citrix, emphasizes the symbiotic relationship, affirming that the partnership embodies the ethos of “Better Together,” delivering unparalleled value and innovation to customers.

Beyond cloud infrastructure, the partnership accelerates advancements in artificial intelligence, fostering productivity and innovation. Cloud Software Group’s engineering divisions are deploying GitHub Copilot to augment developer productivity by 20%, while Spotfire, a Cloud Software Group entity, harnesses the Azure OpenAI service to fuel its new Spotfire Copilot.

Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Microsoft, underscores the shared vision for customer success, asserting that the partnership is poised to enhance the customer experience through integrated solutions and robust go-to-market support for Citrix. With Microsoft 365 serving as the collaboration platform and Azure as the preferred cloud solution, Citrix stands poised to deliver transformative solutions for mutual customers on a global scale.
