AMD’s Ryzen X3D processors have garnered attention for their V-Cache technology, optimizing performance in high-demand tasks, particularly in custom-built desktops. Now, MSI is bringing this cutting-edge capability to the mobile gaming scene with its latest powerhouse, the MSI Titan 18 Pro, equipped with the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processor.
While not the pioneer in featuring an AMD X3D chip (that honor belongs to the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17), the Titan 18 Pro distinguishes itself with formidable specifications. It pairs the 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen processor with an Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU, delivering up to 270 watts of combined power.
Memory options include a maximum of 96GB DDR5 RAM spread across two modules, complemented by dual M.2 slots supporting Gen5 speeds for rapid storage access. The laptop boasts an impressive 18-inch 4K Mini LED IPS display, offering a silky-smooth 240Hz refresh rate. Despite its high-performance components, the Titan 18 Pro integrates a substantial 99.9 watt-hour battery, ideal for prolonged gaming sessions away from a power source. Adding to its appeal is an RGB keyboard from SteelSeries, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
Presently available exclusively through MSI’s storefront in China for approximately $3,050 (32,000 yuan), the global availability of the Titan 18 Pro with AMD’s Ryzen X3D processor remains uncertain. MSI continues to offer other variants of the Titan 18 series, prominently featuring Intel processors like the latest Core i9-14900HX, catering to a broader market beyond China.
