When can you expect to get your hands on laptops with AMD’s latest Ryzen chips? Although AMD has only mentioned a July release, eager tech enthusiasts are looking for a more precise date. According to early retail listings, the first Ryzen 300 AI laptops should be available on July 28th.
This information comes from a Best Buy store page for the Asus Zenbook S 16, which includes a Ryzen AI 9 365 chip. VideoCardz.com discovered the store pages, and a Twitter user pointed out that the release date had been moved back from an initial estimate of July 15th. The Zenbook S16 is one of nine Asus laptops expected to feature the new Ryzen chips, alongside models from the Vivobook, ProArt, ROG, and TUF lines.
It’s wise to approach this information with some caution. While Best Buy, the largest electronics retailer in the US, might have accurate details on the launch date, it’s also possible that this is just an estimate based on typical supply chain scheduling, especially since new product launches rarely happen on Sundays. However, with Microsoft heavily promoting new Snapdragon-powered Surface devices, AMD and Asus are keen to get their competitive laptops to market as soon as possible.
