New ASRock OLED Monitors Feature Integrated Wi-Fi Antennas

ASRock Adds a Unique Twist to OLED Monitors with Wi-Fi Signal Boosting

In a crowded OLED monitor market, ASRock’s new Phantom Gaming series takes a bold step by integrating a Wi-Fi signal boosting feature into its designs. While the monitors don’t have built-in Wi-Fi or smart TV apps, they act as an extension for your motherboard’s antennas, replacing the standard plastic versions often bundled with Wi-Fi-enabled motherboards.

This feature, compatible with Wi-Fi 4 through 7, makes the monitors a compelling choice for desktop users aiming for clean setups and better cable management. ASRock’s flagship model, the 32-inch PGO32UFS, is packed with high-end specs, including 4K resolution, a choice between 240Hz (4K) or 480Hz (1080p) refresh rates, and USB-C video support. It also includes a KVM switch for multitasking across devices. However, its built-in secondary display, limited to showing a logo, feels like a missed opportunity.

The lineup also features a 27-inch 1440p OLED monitor, as well as 34-inch and 27-inch VA gaming panels, all with the Wi-Fi signal-boosting capability. While pricing and availability remain unknown, ASRock’s innovative feature set may attract gamers and professionals looking for more than just impressive visuals.
