Dell’s 4K 120Hz monitor drops to $251 for Prime Day

    Dell’s 27-Inch 4K 120Hz Monitor Hits Record-Low Price for Prime Day

High-refresh-rate monitors are no longer just for gamers. Dell’s latest Prime Day deal brings a smooth 120Hz refresh rate to a productivity-focused 4K display, making everyday tasks feel more responsive while remaining affordable. The Dell S2725QC is available for $251.72, while its HDMI-only sibling, the Dell S2725QS, is discounted to $218.49.

    Two Models, Two Connectivity Options

Dell offers two nearly identical versions of its 27-inch monitor.

    The S2725QS includes:

    • HDMI
    • DisplayPort 1.4

The S2725QC replaces the DisplayPort connection with:

    • USB-C (5Gbps)
    • Built-in USB hub
    • HDMI

The USB-C model is ideal for users who want to connect a laptop with a single cable while also using the monitor as a USB hub.

    Smooth 4K Productivity

    Both models feature:

    • 27-inch IPS display
    • 3840×2160 (4K) resolution
    • 120Hz refresh rate
    • Matte anti-glare coating

While 60Hz remains perfectly usable for office work, the higher refresh rate makes scrolling, window animations and general navigation noticeably smoother, helping reduce eye strain during long work sessions.

    Ergonomic Design

Dell also includes a fully adjustable stand that supports:

    • Height adjustment
    • Tilt
    • Swivel
    • Portrait rotation

The ability to rotate the display into portrait orientation is especially useful for coding, reading long documents or working with spreadsheets without taking up additional desk space.

    Color and Eye Comfort

The IPS panel delivers respectable image quality with:

    • 1500:1 contrast ratio
    • 99% sRGB color coverage
    • ComfortView mode for reduced blue light

Although it lacks the deep blacks of OLED panels, the IPS display offers accurate colors and wide viewing angles suitable for both productivity and casual media consumption.

Should You Buy the USB-C Version?

The USB-C-equipped S2725QC offers added convenience, but buyers should be aware of one limitation.

Its USB-C connection operates at 5Gbps, relying on Display Stream Compression (DSC) to deliver high-resolution output. While this works for everyday productivity, users seeking the most reliable full-bandwidth 4K experience—especially for gaming—may prefer connecting via HDMI.

    A Strong Prime Day Value

With record-low pricing during Prime Day, Dell’s 27-inch 4K 120Hz lineup offers an attractive upgrade for home office users seeking sharper visuals and smoother performance without moving into premium OLED pricing. For buyers who value ergonomics, high refresh rates and everyday versatility, both models represent excellent value.
