Reolink Unveils the Altas Wireless Security System: Reliable, Flexible, and Fully Integrated
Reolink has revealed the Altas Wireless Security System, a battery-powered security solution designed for seamless 24/7 monitoring in stunning 2K resolution. Making its debut at CES 2025, this system combines ease of use with powerful surveillance technology, offering homeowners an easy way to monitor their properties without the need for complex setup or maintenance.
The Altas system comes equipped with two 2K bullet-style cameras, two 6-watt solar panels, and a centralized Home Hub. Each camera is powered by a 20,000mAh battery, capable of supporting up to seven days of continuous recording. The included solar panels ensure that the system stays operational 24 hours a day, requiring only two hours of sunlight daily to maintain full functionality. This feature minimizes dependence on motion detection and ensures reliable surveillance even in adverse conditions.
Central to the system is the Home Hub, which allows users to manage up to eight cameras. Through the Reolink app, users can access live footage, playback, and security reports for comprehensive control and monitoring. The app’s interface is user-friendly, designed for both novice and experienced users alike.
ColorX technology is one of the standout features of the Altas system, providing full-color night vision. This technology allows the cameras to capture vivid, accurate footage even in low-light environments, with the advanced lens and sensor collecting up to four times more light than traditional infrared cameras. This ensures that the footage remains clear and detailed, day or night.
An additional highlight is pre-event recording, which captures the crucial 10 seconds before an event, offering a richer, more complete understanding of any detected activity. This feature is invaluable for homeowners wanting to see the entire context of an event as it unfolds.
The system is designed with smart home integration in mind, compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Home Assistant. Users can set up custom routines and receive real-time alerts, whether they’re at home or traveling. The Home Hub includes local storage up to 1TB, meaning users don’t need to rely on cloud services to store their footage. Plus, with AES-128 encryption, the data is safeguarded from unauthorized access, offering an added layer of security.
With its combination of flexibility, powerful features, and ease of use, the Altas Wireless Security System is an excellent choice for families, frequent travelers, and homeowners looking to monitor areas such as driveways, porches, and garages. Reolink plans to release the system in Q1 2025, providing a reliable and comprehensive solution for modern home security needs.
