GTA VI’s Third Trailer Will Debut on Netflix
Rockstar Games is teaming up with Netflix to unveil the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, but this time it’s being presented as an extended event rather than a conventional teaser.
An “Extended Look” at GTA VI
Titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look,” the presentation will be available on Netflix starting August 27 at 3:00 PM Eastern. Rockstar and Netflix have not revealed exactly what it will contain, but the title suggests fans could finally get their first official look at gameplay and the game’s core mechanics.
That would mark a major shift from the first two trailers, which primarily focused on the characters, atmosphere and world of GTA VI. No official gameplay footage has been released so far.
From Netflix to YouTube
The first two trailers, released in December 2023 and May 2025, generated nearly 300 million and 200 million views, respectively. The latest presentation will initially be exclusive to Netflix before being uploaded to YouTube a few hours later.
The unusual partnership highlights just how much GTA has grown beyond gaming into a wider pop-culture phenomenon.
GTA VI Release Date
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date.
The game was originally planned for 2025 before being delayed multiple times.
