    Azul & Cast AI link up to cut Java cloud costs by 80%

    Azul Systems has teamed up with Cast AI to enhance Java performance in cloud-native environments. The collaboration aims to reduce the memory and compute footprint of Java applications while lowering cloud infrastructure costs. By leveraging both companies’ technologies, enterprises can expect faster runtime, improved efficiency, and more predictable performance without the need for code changes.

    The partnership pairs Azul Platform Prime JDK, a high-performance Java Development Kit, with Cast AI’s Application Performance Automation (APA) platform. Together, they promise to optimize Java runtime efficiency, reduce application startup times, and minimize compute waste. According to the companies, this combined solution can cut infrastructure costs by up to 80% while improving consistency across workloads.

    A key focus of the initiative is on Kubernetes-based public cloud deployments. Platform and engineering teams can benefit from real-time cluster right-sizing that adjusts resources dynamically based on Java workload demands. This allows organizations to maintain high performance while controlling cloud spending.

    The collaboration also emphasizes a modern DevOps experience, offering a unified approach to performance, security, reliability, and cost management. Enterprises can optimize their Java applications in the cloud without needing to re-architect existing systems or manually tune performance, making it a plug-and-play solution for complex cloud deployments.
