Guinness World Records has unveiled an extraordinary new achievement in the gaming world: the most gaming consoles connected to a single TV. This record was set by game enthusiast Ibrahim Al-Nasser, who successfully linked an impressive 444 gaming consoles to one television, covering the entire history of home gaming from the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972 to the latest PlayStation 5 Slim released in 2023.
Al-Nasser’s collection isn’t just notable for its volume; it also includes some extremely rare pieces. Among the gems is the Super A’can, a nearly forgotten console from 1995 that was briefly available in Taiwan, with only a dozen games ever made for it.
The official Guinness World Records video offers a glimpse into Al-Nasser’s meticulously organized game room. To manage the 444 consoles, he uses a combination of 12 HDMI switches and 30 RCA switches, allowing him to effortlessly switch between systems. The setup is a marvel of organization, with no visible cables—a result of Al-Nasser’s dedication to using the best cable management tools on the market.
In the video, Al-Nasser also reveals his favorite console, the Sega Genesis, a 16-bit machine from the late 1980s. He shares a touching moment with it, kissing the console that holds a special place in his heart.
As gaming continues to evolve, Al-Nasser’s collection may soon see new additions. The PlayStation 5 Pro, Nintendo Switch 2, and a refreshed Xbox Series X are all expected by 2025, presenting a new challenge for Al-Nasser as he seeks to keep his record-breaking setup current.
