    HP’s OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 drops to $630 with 40% off

The end-of-year sales period continues to deliver strong value in the midrange laptop segment, and one of the standout deals right now is the HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1. Originally priced at $1,050, the convertible laptop has dropped to $630 at Best Buy, placing a premium-feeling, well-equipped machine firmly into budget territory. This kind of discount makes it far more appealing to skip entry-level models and step up to a device designed for smoother, all-day use.

Powering the OmniBook X Flip is Intel’s Core Ultra 7 256V processor paired with Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics. This setup offers solid everyday performance for productivity, multitasking, and even light gaming, while also qualifying the laptop as a Copilot+ PC. That designation unlocks access to Windows 11’s latest AI-powered features, adding long-term value beyond raw hardware specs. With 16GB of RAM and a roomy 1TB SSD, the system is well-equipped to handle modern workloads without the slowdowns commonly associated with cheaper configurations.

The laptop also shines on the display front, featuring a 14-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1920×1200 resolution. The taller aspect ratio is well-suited for productivity, while the 400-nit brightness level makes the screen usable in a wide range of environments. Combined with the 360-degree hinge, the OmniBook X Flip can transition easily between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes, making it versatile for reading documents, browsing, streaming video, or casual creative work.

Connectivity and build quality further reinforce its value proposition. The laptop includes HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4, alongside multiple USB ports for accessories and external storage. HP also advertises up to 22 hours of battery life, which, even if cut in half under real-world usage, remains impressive for a device in this price range. Wi-Fi 6E, a backlit keyboard, and an aluminum chassis round out the package, while the slim half-inch profile and 3-pound weight make it highly portable. At $630, it’s difficult to find a competing 2-in-1 that offers this level of performance, features, and build quality.
