Intel has just released a fresh graphics driver update, version 32.0.101.6987, promising smoother performance and better battery life for a wide range of Intel GPUs, including the Arc series. Independent tests from Windows Latest show that many users may experience a 5-6% increase in frame rates, meaning animations will feel snappier and games will run more smoothly.
A handy new feature called “Shared GPU Memory Override” lets you adjust how much of your PC’s system memory your integrated Intel Arc GPU can use. This is great if you want to fine-tune performance or free up memory depending on your tasks, though it’s only available on select PCs for now.
Another benefit of this driver update is improved efficiency — it uses fewer system resources, which could help your laptop’s battery last a little longer between charges.
This driver update supports many popular Intel GPUs, including the Arc B-Series and A-Series, Iris Xe, and Intel Core Ultra processors that come with Arc graphics. It’s compatible with Intel CPUs from the 11th Gen Tiger Lake and Rocket Lake families all the way to the newest 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh and Intel Core Ultra models.
You can install this update on Windows 11 or Windows 10 (64-bit, including 21H2 and 22H2 versions).
To get the latest drivers, open the Intel Graphics Software app on your PC and look for version 32.0.101.6987 on the Home tab. The file is about 950 MB, so be prepared for a sizable download. If you don’t have the Intel Graphics Software app, you can grab the drivers directly from Intel’s website or use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to find and install the update automatically.
