Microsoft launches tool to gather user feedback on Windows issues

Microsoft is doubling down on user feedback as part of its broader effort to fix Windows 11—and it’s starting with a redesigned Feedback Hub.

    A direct line to Microsoft

While Microsoft monitors social media, the Feedback Hub remains the official channel for users to:

    • Report bugs
    • Suggest features
    • Share general feedback

Now, with new builds in the Windows Insider Canary and Dev channels, the app is getting a cleaner, more streamlined interface.

    Faster, simpler feedback

The updated design focuses on speed and simplicity. Users are immediately presented with three main options:

    • Report a problem
    • Make a suggestion
    • Give a compliment (new)

This “focused feedback” approach allows for quick reactions while still supporting more detailed reports.

    Community-driven input

The revamped hub also improves how users interact with each other’s feedback:

    • “Community Feedback” replaces older sections
    • You can search existing reports
    • Endorse (upvote) feedback from others

This helps highlight the most important issues for Microsoft.

    Built-in screenshot support

Integration with Snipping Tool makes it easier to submit visual evidence. Users can quickly capture and attach screenshots when reporting issues.

    What’s changed

Some features have been removed or adjusted:

    • The announcements section is gone
    • Users are redirected to official Insider blog posts instead
    • It’s unclear if screen recording feedback is still supported

    Part of a bigger reset

The Feedback Hub update is part of Microsoft’s wider push to improve Windows through “performance, reliability, and craft.”

By encouraging both criticism and praise, Microsoft hopes to rebuild trust—and get more users involved in shaping the future of Windows.
