Samsung takes a bold step into the gaming realm with the introduction of its official video game controller designed exclusively for the Samsung Gaming Hub. Unveiled ahead of CES 2024, this controller is the result of a collaboration with accessories manufacturer PDP, and its design, reminiscent of an Xbox gamepad, is poised to make waves in the gaming community. Priced at $50 and scheduled for release later this year, the controller arrives in a distinctive “Replay Midnight Blue” color and proudly bears the inscription “Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub” on its back.

The controller, the first product in the Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub program, undergoes stringent testing for quality, compatibility, and safety. Samsung emphasizes that this designation ensures users the utmost in gaming satisfaction. Notably, the Samsung Gaming Hub also accommodates existing Xbox and PS5 controllers, contributing to a versatile gaming ecosystem.

Crafted by PDP, the controller boasts impressive features, including 40 hours of playtime per charge, a 30-foot low-latency Bluetooth connection, a dedicated Samsung Gaming Hub button, and TV volume controls for added convenience. Currently available for pre-order on PDP’s website and Amazon, with a Best Buy listing anticipated soon, the controller marks Samsung’s commitment to providing an unparalleled gaming experience on its TVs.

In the evolving landscape of gaming, TV manufacturers are keenly exploring ways to cater to the expanding gaming community. Samsung’s Gaming Hub, introduced in 2022, seamlessly connects with game streaming services like Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass. The debut of the Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub program and the new controller underscores Samsung’s dedication to becoming the preferred destination for gamers, offering cutting-edge technology and a seamless gaming journey.
