Ring Indoor Cam Plus Falls to Lowest Price Yet on Amazon

The Ring Indoor Cam Plus is currently available for approximately $35 on Amazon, marking one of the lowest prices yet for the indoor Wi-Fi security camera since its release in late 2025.

The discount reduces the camera by roughly 42 percent from its original $60 launch price, positioning it as a low-cost entry point into smart home surveillance.

Indoor Camera Targets Families and Pet Owners

The Indoor Cam Plus is designed primarily for indoor monitoring scenarios such as checking on pets, children or apartment interiors remotely through a smartphone app.

The device supports live video streaming and two-way audio communication, allowing users to speak through the camera while viewing footage in real time.

Ring also includes night vision functionality for low-light monitoring during overnight hours.

Its compact mounting system supports both wall installation and freestanding placement through a detachable base plate, making the camera easier to deploy in rental apartments or locations where permanent drilling may not be possible.

2K Resolution and Zoom Improve Indoor Visibility

The camera records at a “Retinal 2K” resolution of 2560×1440 and supports enhanced digital zoom functionality intended to preserve detail when viewing distant parts of a room.

Motion detection alerts are also included, allowing users to receive notifications when movement is detected inside the monitored area.

For users concerned about privacy, Ring added a manual physical shutter that can fully block the camera lens when monitoring is not desired.

Cloud Subscription Required for Video History

One of the device’s biggest limitations is its lack of local video storage support.

Users who want to save, review or download recorded footage must subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan, which starts at approximately $5 per month.

The subscription provides cloud-based storage for recorded clips, with footage retained on Ring’s servers for up to 180 days depending on account settings and region.

Without the subscription, users can still access live viewing and basic real-time functionality but lose access to stored event history.

Affordable Smart Security Market Continues Expanding

The Indoor Cam Plus enters an increasingly crowded smart home security market where manufacturers are competing aggressively on pricing, cloud services and ecosystem integration.

At its discounted price, the Ring camera competes directly against budget indoor surveillance options from companies such as TP-Link, Google and Wyze, particularly among first-time smart home buyers seeking simple indoor monitoring solutions.
