AMD has moved to calm fears within the PC gaming community by confirming that Windows 10 users will continue to receive full driver support, despite Microsoft’s recent end-of-support milestone for the aging operating system. The clarification follows confusion over the latest Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2 update, released on October 29, 2025, which made no explicit mention of Windows 10 compatibility in its documentation — a change from previous versions that consistently listed both Windows 10 and Windows 11 as supported platforms.
This omission led some users to believe that AMD might be following Microsoft’s lead by discontinuing driver updates for Windows 10 systems. The concern quickly gained traction online, especially among gamers who have yet to upgrade to Windows 11 and rely on Windows 10 for its stability and broad game compatibility. The update itself included several notable enhancements, such as improved performance for Battlefield 6 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, but the lack of Windows 10 references raised questions about long-term support.
In a statement to Windows Latest, AMD explained that the removal of Windows 10 from its release notes was a documentation decision rather than a policy change. “The AMD Software Adrenalin package, although it does not specifically call out Windows 10 support, supports Windows 10,” the company confirmed. AMD added that Windows 10 users will continue to receive driver updates through the same Windows 11 installer, ensuring that Radeon GPUs and Ryzen APUs remain optimized for performance, compatibility, and security.
The clarification arrives as a welcome assurance for the millions of gamers who still use Windows 10, especially those hesitant to upgrade due to hardware requirements or personal preference. Although Microsoft officially ended Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025, AMD’s continued commitment highlights a pragmatic approach that recognizes the ongoing presence of Windows 10 in the gaming ecosystem. By maintaining full driver compatibility, AMD is effectively ensuring that its users can continue to enjoy the latest game optimizations and bug fixes without being forced into an OS transition — at least for the foreseeable future.
