Goodbye, GeForce Experience: Nvidia App Leaves Beta

Nvidia’s new unified Nvidia App is officially here, signaling the beginning of the end for the well-known GeForce Experience. Now out of beta, this app combines GeForce Experience’s capabilities with the functionality of the traditional Nvidia Control Panel, aiming to create an all-in-one interface for GPU settings, updates, and exclusive Nvidia content. This move makes it easier for users to manage driver updates, customize graphics settings per game, tweak display options, and access Nvidia’s promotions and special offers—all without switching between multiple programs.

Though comprehensive, the Nvidia App hasn’t yet included every feature. For example, advanced tools like GeForce Now streaming and Nvidia Broadcast still open in separate windows, and Nvidia Surround (for gaming across multiple monitors) hasn’t been integrated into the app’s UI. Nvidia acknowledges these gaps but promises ongoing updates to address them.

One of the app’s user-friendly features is its flexibility; it allows users to install drivers and manage GPU settings without requiring an account login, helping those who prefer a clean and uncluttered taskbar experience. While GeForce Experience will still run if already installed, it’s no longer bundled with Nvidia’s driver updates, signaling its eventual phase-out. For Nvidia users, this new app offers a fresh, convenient hub while still allowing freedom in how they access updates and settings.
