Lifetime Subscribers Burned as BulletVPN Abruptly Closes

BulletVPN abruptly shuts down, leaving lifetime subscribers out in the cold

BulletVPN has officially gone offline, discontinuing service for all users and voiding its once-promoted lifetime subscriptions. The Estonia-based VPN provider, founded in 2015, posted a shutdown message last week confirming that operations have ceased permanently. The announcement, titled “BulletVPN End of Life,” marks a sudden end for a service that had offered $39 lifetime plans as recently as last month.

The company stated that the decision followed “careful consideration of various factors,” including changes in market demand and operational sustainability. The closure reflects a broader trend in the VPN space, where smaller providers often struggle to remain viable after offering deeply discounted lifetime access. Just this past May, another VPN service, VPNSecure, made a similar move by cutting off lifetime plans after a change in ownership.

Unsurprisingly, affected BulletVPN users are expressing frustration. However, some support is being offered. Rival provider Windscribe is extending a 6-month free subscription and discounted long-term plans to former BulletVPN lifetime members. Eligible users can contact support@bulletvpn.com to claim the offer.
